A notice of assessment is a statement for a given fiscal year from the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or the Agence de Revenu du Québec (ARQ) summarizing the return you (or your authorized representative) submitted to the tax authority. The notice of assessment is the amount accepted by the agency.
